George Crabtree is from Murdoch Mysteries/Artful Detective.
A foundling from New Finland raised by a bevy of aunts who eventually made his way to Toronto and entered the police force. Eager and hardworking, but prone to believing in the supernatural or otherwise let his imagination run away with him. Sometimes his wild hunches are more on the mark then one would initially believe. While he doesn't always understand it, he's more then happy to help Murdoch with his scientific theories and inventions.
Writes a series of adventure novels on his free time.
